Entered into the 21st century, with gradual reduction of traditional energy and increasing severity of environmental pollution, the world has paid high attention to the development of new-type environmental and green renewable energy and the energy transformation technology. Under the serious situation of the whole world environmental pollution and energy crisis day by day, as a kind of inexhaustible clean energy, the developing of solar energy will played a very important role on alleviating energy crisis, protecting ecological environment and guaranteeing economy sustainable development.

Compared with other film battery, the CIGS film solar cell has a few characteristics of higher conversion efficiency, relative low cost and stable performance.

Royalstar Group has established cooperation relations with the Advanced Functional Materials and Component Laboratory of University of Science and Technology of China. Zhu Changfei, the chief in charge of the project and doctoral student’s tutor, has taken in charge the National Natural Sciences Fund, Doctorial Station Fund of Ministry of Education, Open Laboratory Fund of Internal Exhaustion and Solid Flaw of Chinese Academy of Science for many times. He has rich experience and high academic level in material preparation, attribute and physical property research aspect in material physics and chemistry domain.

It is planned to put into production from February, 2007 to January, 2008.
